Rio Branco. The lodge is a comfortable lodge with many modern upgrades such as satellite tv and internet capability. Remember, though, you are in the depth of rice fields and away from city noise, traffic or buildings, so the internet is not high speed and the tv may not pick up your favorite baseball game.
The rooms are double occupancy with private baths associated with each room. The Uruguay duck hunting season is May 1st to September 15th; however, Los Gauchos, understands what September means to North American hunters- school for the kids and the beginning of dove hunting season. So we book May, June, July, and August.
The Uruguay duck hunts are typically 3, 3.5 or 4 days in length. Flights can be arranged by our office (no additional fee) and we meet you at the airport in Montevideo, Uruguay and make sure you get back to the Montevideo, Uruguay airport for the departure flight. The only fees you pay at the lodge are for your shotgun shells.
