For our most avid waterfowl hunting clients, we recommend this trip more than any other. - Arrival city for the Rio Branco Lodge and Fortin Lodge: flights arrive in Montevideo, Uruguay (airport code=MVD).
The Rio Branco lodge is located near Rio Branco, Uruguay. The drive time from the Montevideo airport to the lodge is 4.5 hours. The host will meet you at the airport and transfer the group to the lodge. Some Uruguay duck hunting trips start the first afternoon.
The Fortin lodge is located near Chuy, Uruguay. The drive time from the Montevideo airport is about 3.5 hours.
- Lodge occupancy: The Rio Branco Lodge hosts up to 8 hunters per week. Double occupancy rooms (private bathrooms). Satellite tv and only about 5 to 15 minutes to the Uruguay duck hunting spots.
The Fortin Lodge hosts up to 8 duck hunters. Double occupancy and single rooms can be reserved (*small fee).
- Uruguay Duck Hunting Season: May 1 to September 15
- Uruguay Perdiz Hunting Season: May 1 to July 31
- Included in the daily rate: guided duck hunting, *guided Perdiz hunting, rooms, meals, beverages, wine, beer, guns (Beretta 12 ga), and tips. Los Gauchos accepts mastercard and visa and deposits are only $500/hunter.
